Privacy Policy
Parnassia LLC ("Parnassia," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Moonfield and the Parnassia website.
Moonfield
Moonfield is designed as a private personal record. You do not need to create an account to use the app.
Your journal and personal record
Journal entries, moods, reflections, dreams, symbols, intentions, Focus items, Garden entries, lunar-cycle reflections, eclipse journals, solar-gate reflections, cycle recaps, and related Moonfield records are stored locally in Moonfield's app storage on your device. Parnassia does not receive or maintain a copy of this content through the app.
Location
If you grant Location access, Moonfield uses your device location to calculate location-dependent observing information such as rise and set times, twilight, and viewing windows. Moonfield requests location only while the app is in use. Location is used on your device for these calculations and is not transmitted to Parnassia by Moonfield.
You may deny Location access. Moonfield will continue to function, although some local observing information may be unavailable.
Astronomical information
Moonfield calculates astronomical and seasonal context from dates, time, and, where relevant, your permitted device location. This calculation does not require you to submit your journal content to Parnassia.
Backups, imports, and sharing
Moonfield allows you to create a portable backup of your record and import a backup you select. Exported backups can contain your personal writing and other Moonfield records. Moonfield does not automatically upload these backups to Parnassia. If you choose to save or share a backup using Apple sharing features or another service, that destination's privacy practices apply.
Subscriptions and purchases
Moonfield subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Parnassia does not receive your full payment-card information. Apple may process purchase, subscription, device, and account information according to Apple's own privacy policies and may provide Parnassia with transaction status and App Store reporting needed to operate subscriptions.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Moonfield does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs in the current release.
Deleting your data
Because your Moonfield record is stored locally, deleting the app may remove locally stored Moonfield information from your device. If you want to preserve your record, export a backup before deleting the app. You are responsible for storing exported backups somewhere you trust.
Parnassia website
The Parnassia website is a public informational website and does not require an account. Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may automatically process basic technical information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, and timestamps as needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the site.
The site currently loads a web font from Google Fonts. When your browser requests that font, Google may receive standard network information associated with the request. Google's handling of that information is governed by its own privacy practices.
Website analytics
The Parnassia website uses Google Analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, and interactions such as links to the App Store. Google Analytics may use cookies and process information about your browser, device, and activity on this website. Google processes this information according to its Privacy Policy. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This website analytics does not access your Moonfield journal or other records stored in the app.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Moonfield or the Parnassia website changes. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
